YOUR LEAVES

2023

Using fact to create a fiction, Your Leaves narratives the wished relationship between a lone gardener and the land in his charge. His relationship changing as if it were one with a person, conveyed through a maintained subtlety that encourages the viewer to engage more deeply with the narrative.

The work invites readers to connect with the narrative’s characters, sharing in their longing and affection for something elusive yet intimately present. The imagery and text together craft a dialogue between the gardener and the estate, revealing their subtle exchanges and mutual growth. It is my hope that this pseudo-relationship evokes a sense of understanding and emotional connection in the viewer, mirroring the deep, often unspoken bonds we form with the world around us.
